Effects of enzootic bovine leukosis virus on the chromosomes of purebred Holstein and Holstein-Zebu cows

摘要：
A cytogenetic study was conducted on 51 purebred Holstein and Holstein-Zebu cows in order to determine possible relations between infection with enzootic bovine leukosis and chromosome breaks. Leukosis was diagnosed using the agar-gel immunodiffucion method (AGID) and the lymphocytes were stimulated with phytohemagglutinin. Statistical analysis showed no correlation between these events.
