摘要
Dehydration of single crystals of the non-magnetic molecular compound CoCu(obp)(H2O)(3). H2O yields a compound CoCu(obp) which exhibits long range magnetic order. However, the magnetic transition temperature is rather low ( viz. 7 K) and its M(H) plot shows no hysterisis width, which is unusual for a compound derived from Co(II)Cu(II) bimetallic chains. The origin of this magnetic behaviour appears to lie in the absence of the first-order angular momentum of the parent compound CoCu(obp)(H2O)(3). H2O.
