摘要
The present work study reports the comparative corrosion protective performance of nanostructured methyl orange (MO) doped polyaniline (PANI) and camphorsulphonic acid (CSA) doped poly(1-naphthylamine) (PNA) dispersed polyurethane-based composite coatings against mild steel (MS). The influence of the dopant on the passivation of metal was analyzed using two different dopants. The nanostructure of the conducting polymers-MO-PANI and CSA-PNA was confirmed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The corrosion protective performance of the coatings against MS was evaluated by the physico-mechanical properties and corrosion rate measurements. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
