摘要
Iron oxide-copper-gold deposits (IOCG) occur in several areas in northern Finland. The most probable members of the IOCG-type are the magnetite-hosted Cu-Au deposits in Kolari, in the westernmost part of the Central Lapland greenstone belt, and the Vahajoki deposit in Tervola, in the Perapohja schist belt. In the Misi area, in the easternmost part of the Perapohja schist belt, several features suggest IOCG-style of mineralisation but, so far, only uneconomic Au and Cu grades have been detected. The Au-Co-Cu+/-U occurrences in the Kuusamo schist belt, NE Finland, may represent a transitional type between orogenic gold and IOCG mineralisation.
