摘要：
Comparison of the information published on the melting behavior of YalO(3) with the conditions for growing YAlO3 single crystals by horizontal directional solidification provides evidence that this compound melts incongruently. The peritectic composition is far less Al2O3-rich than reported in earlier studies.
