Gastric cancer: Does lymph node dissection alter survival?

摘要：
A large database of gastric cancer patients collected by tile American College of Surgeons was analyzed for outcome effect of surgical resection. Subgroup analysis of gastric cancer patients having a curative resection did not show benefit of tile extra-gastric node dissection (D2). Continued study is warranted and the data from ongoing clinical trials may yield more conclusive data.
