The Exploration on the Relationship Between Personalities and Occupational Stress of Chemical Workers

摘要
[Objective], To understand the relationship between personalities and occupational stress of chemical workers, and to explore the main personalities which influenced the job satisfaction and mental health of chemical workers. [Methods] A survey on occupational stressor was carried out by occupational stress indicator (OSI) in 540 petrochemical industry workers (350 chemical and 190 logistic workers). [Results] The chemical group workers suffered more stress, and the scores of Job Satisfaction and Mental Health in chemical group were significantly, lower than that in logistic group. Type A behavior and Organizational Commitment. were the main personalities that influenced job satisfaction of chemical. workers, and the important factor which affected mental health of chemical workers was Trait-Anxiety. [Conclusion] It indicated that the job satisfaction and mental health of chemical workers are significantly affected by some personalities with different levels.
