摘要
This paper describes the reverse link capacity analysis of the third generation (3G1X) cellular CDMA systems, which will provide circuit based service or multi-rate packet based services. Due to a new reverse pilot channel in the 3G1X reverse link, the analytical model for the Erlang capacity includes the power ratio of a pilot channel to a traffic channel. The associated reverse link area coverage is evaluated. The performance results are addressed with respect to voice and packet data traffics.
