摘要
A double-layer time-of-flight scintillation counter, composed of two juxtaposed BC408 scintillators instrumented with fine-mesh photo-multiplier tubes, has been tested in a 2.0 GeV pi(-) beam at KEK and a time resolution of better than 50 ps was obtained.
