摘要
The formation of the chains of magnetic nano-particles in a nano-magnetorheological material is simulated with an external magnetic field. A model for the motion of nano-particles is proposed based on the analysis of the dynamics of the nano-particles, and the corresponding numerical approach is developed. Several techniques are used to accelerate the simulation, which includs Velocity-Verlet algorithm, combined fixed and variable time step method, etc. It shows that the developed micro-to-macro approach is of well convergence and computational efficiency, and can provide a practical method to investigate the effect of each influencing factor at microscopic level on the macroscopic behavior. It is significant to gain insight into the microscopic aspects of nano-magnetorheological materials' behavior and for an active-design of high-performance nano-magnetorheological materials.
