摘要
This article is devoted to the syntax of spoken language, specifically to the analysis of unconnected wenn constructions in spoken German. Alongside syntactically integrated wenn clauses, different types of wenn constructions are used in spoken German in which the verb position in the apodosis is that of an independent main clause, e.g. "wenn du luscht hasch und=zeit, (0.5) wir machen morgen en kindergottesdienst(.) in the lutherkirche" ('If you would like to and have time, (0.5) we have a children's service tomorrow(.) at the Luther Church'). Some of these wenn constructions can be fronted without change to the referential meaning, while others cannot be moved or change their meaning when they are moved. The investigation of these fronted wenn constructions focuses on the following questions: (i) How are non-integrated wenn constructions to be described within the topology of German sentences? (ii) Which types of non-integrated wenn construction occur in spoken language? (iii) Which functions to these fronted wenn clauses have?
