摘要
This paper discusses ceramic technology solutions which provide benefits in enhanced performance and lower cost with emphasis on high frequency properties in the 1 GHz to 40 GHz ranges required for evolving wide bandwidth communication systems. At these frequencies characterization of electrical properties becomes more difficult and more than one test method is needed to span the wide range of frequencies. The paper describes characterization of a new low loss 943 Green Tape(TM) LTCC material and benchmarks its properties vs 96% and 99% Alumina, 951 LTCC Green Tape(TM), and PTFE and Polyester based organic dielectric materials for microwave applications. The paper includes comparison charts of dielectric constant and loss tangent for the ceramic and PWB materials.
