摘要
This paper aims to present the links between the quality of life and smart cities. In this digital era, it is necessary to stay informed, to be competitive, innovative and creative. Some countries understood the importance of these factors and use them as key elements for sustainability. This is the reason why cities developed themselves into smart, creative or intelligent cities. In this respect, paper starts with a presentation of the background for this topic, based on the literature review. Then it focuses on the Sustainable Development Indicators at Territorial level for Romania and Smart Cities Ranking in order to make correlations between cities and study the particularities and similarities. Based on this relation between innovation, quality and efficiency we could develop strategies, in order to improve the sustainability of the cities. In the last part of the paper it will be presented the results of the research, and the strategy to increase the cities ranking based on the quality of life strategy.
