摘要
A multichannel high-voltage (HV) power supply system for the transition radiation tracker of the ATLAS experiment is described. The performance requirements for the HV system of a gas-filled detector operating under conditions of high radiation background are formulated. The characteristics of the HV system, the technique for testing and calibrating the channels, the description of the software for controlling the HV system, and test results for 2500 channels of the HV system are presented. The system passed a two-year test as a part of the ATLAS setup and demonstrated its high reliability and operational stability. The spread of the output voltages in all channels over the operating period was 0.1% or less.
