摘要
We present our Global Seamless Network solution for the optical network age, and describe the benefits of this solution: rapid provisioning, bandwidth utilization, flexibility for partial network upgrade and floor space reduction. We show the result of calculation of floor space reduction. We built a Global Seamless Network Test Bed in order to evaluate the feasibility of the Global Seamless Network concept from the Mesh network architecture viewpoint. This Test Bed consists of a 6,000km submarine optical fiber, submarine DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) equipment and Mesh-based Terrestrial network using an OOO-typed optical switch, Terrestrial DWDM, and ADM. We confirmed that we can integrate Global Mesh Network which provides the powerful benefits mentioned above to Global Carriers.
