ANFIS Based Frequency Control in an Autonomous Microgrid Integrated with PV and Battery Storage

摘要
Perpetual drift towards distributed generation has encouraged the concept of microgrids on a wide scale. Over the years, microgrids integrated with renewable energies, power electronics devices, energy storage elements and static or dynamic loads are gaining attention worldwide. However, the control and operation of renewable based microgrids is challenging, owing to their dependence on weather conditions. Further, controlling frequency of microgrids within acceptable range, especially if islanded is a complex process. This paper presents an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system based frequency regulation in an autonomous microgrid. The ANFIS controller aims at performing coordinative charging/discharging of storage battery for real power balance in the system. The system has been tested under several scenarios including changing weather conditions and consumer power consumption usage. The system is designed and tested in MATLAB/Simulation environment. The obtained results verify efficiency of the proposed controller.
