A model of software reliability with actual fault removal efficiency

摘要
Addressing at the problem about the uncertainty of the fault removal efficiency in the existing software reliability growth models, a new improved model based on the rate of removing faults, which incorporates linear decrease-rate of removing faults with exponent decrease-rate of removing faults, is proposed in this paper. Meanwhile, the fault introduction is also considered in the new model. By comparing to the existing models and analyzing simulation results, the new proposed model is proved to be more suitable for the actual software reliability process.
