摘要
The paper presents data of theoretical and experimental (on-site and laboratory) studies of the effect of sea-water density inhomogeneity on the hydrodynamics of drifting icebergs. On the basis of previously obtained theoretical relationships, the coefficients of wave resistance are calculated for a body of varying submergence depth that crosses the free surface and the interface between fluids of different density at relatively small velocities characteristic for the natural conditions of iceberg drift. The modal structure and amplitude-phase parameters of internal waves generated by a vertical cylinder crossing the free surface and the surface pycnocline are studied as functions of the cylinder's velocity and submergence depth relative to a density jump.
