摘要
Well-dispersed Pt nanoparticles of an average size 2.2 nm were produced on multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) pretreated by concentrated sulfuric and nitric acids to improve the catalyst adsorption. Reduction of the chloroplatinic acid was done by methanol. A zwitterionic surfactant 3-(N,N-dimethyldodecylammonio) propanesulfonate was used to stabilize the size of the nanocatalyst. This method is simple and reproducible. The resultant catalyst exhibits a slightly higher performance for the oxygen reduction reaction than the corresponding Pt/C.
