摘要：
In this paper, we present new cytological observations on the Diprionidae and a review of the available data in the literature. This ascertains that most of the species cytogenetically known have seven metacentric chromosomes. These data support the hypothesis of chromosome number doubling in the genus Diprion by centric fission.
