HISTORY OF MODERN ART / ART STUDIES AS A RESEARCH FIELD TODAY: THE CASE OF BULGARIA

In this article I will try to present the main institutions of research and higher education in modern and contemporary art/art practices, as well as some of their activities during the last years, concerning the regional cultural field. The widening of the scope of researches and educational programs resulted in the changes of some of the institutions' names, as well as their creation of new programs and courses. Along with that review, I intend to propose contemporary research perspectives and topics, which could be developed as a net of projects by the protagonists in the Region.
