摘要
Street lighting consumes a substantial amount of energy and improving its efficiency is a significant challenge. A promising approach to enhance the efficiency is through the use of intelligent control systems. Intelligent street lighting utilizing LED-based luminaries are made to be energy efficient through using adaptable/dynamic illumination and around the clock lamp monitoring. In this work, an intelligent LED street lighting solution is proposed based on ZigBee wireless network and using the ZigBee Cluster Library (ZCL) messaging protocol to accelerate the development of the control application meanwhile allowing for Over The Air programming (OTA) of the wireless nodes after deployment. An experimental prototype 14 the proposed solution was implemented using the ZigBee Cluster Libraries, a sample control application was developed and ZCL functions were tested with the prototype.
