EM modeling and optimization of integrated printed antennas for multiband wireless communications

摘要
In this paper, we present the EM analysis and optimization of the printed antennas integrated with their feed network for a multiband wireless mobile communications system. In selecting the antenna types applicable, much attention has been paid in laking into account both antenna radiation performance and strict design specifications. Printed cross-dipole and cross-monopole antennas providing the circular polarization have been designed and optimized for ETC and GPS operation, respectively. In integrating the antenna elements with a RF circuits different antenna feeding techniques have been numerically investigated to provide compact design and improved radiation performance.
