摘要:
Currently, IT outsourcing is one the major drivers of offshoring in the world economy. Like many other countries in Eastern Europe, Romania continues to be attractive on the IT outsourcing market, a vital role being played by higher education institutions providing computing undergraduate and graduate programmes. Using data collected through a survey between 2010 and 2016 addressing the graduates of Business Information Systems master programme at the Alexandra Loan Cuza University of Iasi, this paper investigates the specificities of the national market as an IT offshoring destination. Exploratory Factor Analysis identified the latent factors underlying course utility for the early career graduates. Resulted models were further tested and refined using Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Results were mapped to current IT skills taxonomies and compared to the IT skills in demand on the IT offshore source markets.
