摘要
For this research we have used several sources, especially notarial documents. Thus we have reconstructed the family trajectories of the merchants of Aranda de Duero, in the southern Burgos, along the 18th century. The main contributions are, on the one hand, the importance and vitality of some businesses, in which textiles, wine and wax products could be sold together. On the other hand, the inbreeding family connections, with a leading role of the women in commercial and inherited decisions. Finally, signs of modernity will be introduced in their living conditions combined with the tradition.
