摘要
The prestressed grouted sleeve connection offers enormous benefits in fabrication and construction. Research was performed at Monash University in the last 10 years on the behavior of such connections under static loading, fatigue loading and under elevated temperatures. There is a potential use of this type of connection in building industry that may subject to earthquake loading. This paper describes a series of tests on grouted sleeve connections subject to large deformation cyclic loading. The effect of cyclic loading on peak loads, energy absorption and coefficient of friction are studied. The heating generated by friction during the cyclic loading was found beneficial to the behavior of such connections under earthquake loading.
