Car makers are taking effective measures to improve their business, that is declining due increasing oil prices at $4 per gallon. General Motors has made an announcement to reduce the number of its white-collar staff to save $10 billion in costs. Motor City is planning to reduce the number of employees and their wages and benefits due to increasing oil prices. Ford announced a $8 billion second-quarter loss, while General Motors faced $18.7 billion loss. General Motors has reported a huge growth in China and the US for its new Chevrolet and Malibu. Jim Farley, global marketing director of Ford, says that the car industry is facing rapid change in buyers behavior. Ford is planning to introduce some new European models Transit connect van and Fiesta subcompact.
