Psychoanalysis and the triumph of Religion

There is an intrinsic relationship between psychoanalysis and religion that needs to be understood so that we can better understand the religious phenomenon today. We will analyze Religion from psychoanalysis, in particular, reflecting on the conception of the Father, first in Freud, and the symbolic Father in Lacan, as well as the formation of the paternal function and its role of alterity and of foundation and legitimation in Western culture. We will discuss the conceptions of both authors mentioned about their respective projections of the future of religion and we will present that the scientific evidence points to a triumph of religion in the present day.
