摘要
Magnetic gears (MGs) have received extensive attention in the last decade. The flux-modulated machine (FMM) is one of the derived topologies from the MG. The existing FMMs which mostly adopt the radial-flux configuration suffer from a relatively low torque density compared with other MG integrated machines. This paper proposes a novel axial-radial flux-modulated machine which has an improved torque density. Performances are compared with a radial-flux FMM to validate the superiority of the proposed topology. The results show that the proposed structure has a higher torque density, especially with a small length-to-diameter ratio.
