摘要
Building on exemplary analyses using micro-data from the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE), this paper aims to provide an account of intergenerational relations in contemporary - ageing - Europe and to demonstrate the research potential of SHARE, which is now available as a longitudinal dataset. The findings presented here suggest, firstly, high levels of family solidarity across Europe and reflect, secondly, the manifold opportunities which SHARE provides for interdisciplinary and cross-nationally comparative research investigating the dynamics of intergenerational relations.
