Application of geological radar to the detection of unfavorable geologic bodies in foundation treatment

摘要
The geological radar plays a remarkable role in engineering geology exploration for its high-resolution capability. This paper introduces an imported pulse -EKKO geological radar system. After the practise of unfavorable geologic body detection, a great deal of data has been obtained; some of them were verified with borehole and excavation. It is clearly indicated that the system is characterized by its high survey precision, low cost, quick execution and flexible working process. It can solve many kinds of problems in foundation treatment in different extent. The authors give several examples to introduce the functions of the geological radar system in detecting unfavorable geologic bodies.
