摘要：

Austempered ductile iron is finding an ever increasing world-wide market in the automotive and other sectors. It offers a range of mechanical properties superior to other cast irons and has excellent economic competitiveness with steels and aluminium alloys. The aim of this work is to produce a generic model which will enable the producers of ADI to optimise their product in terms of microstructure and mechanical properties at the first attempt, avoiding costly experimental trials.
