Kinetics of vitrification under hydrostatic pressure and under tangential stress

摘要
The effect of hydrostatic pressure and tangential stress on the kinetics of vitrification is considered in the framework of a phenomenological approach. Expressions for the dependence of the glass transition temperature on cooling rate under elevated constant pressure and tangential stress are derived. Particular attention is given also to vitrification processes taking place at constant temperature and increasing pressure. It is shown that the larger the rate of pressure increase at constant temperature, the smaller the pressure at which a system vitrifies. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
