摘要：
A numerical scheme based on the method of numerical integration along bicharacteristics is developed for the numerical analysis of three-dimensional wave propagation in orthotropic media. The dynamic behavior of an orthotropic bar of rectangular cross section due to impact loading is studied. Moreover, the stability of the present scheme is investigated.
