摘要
The turn of the century brought a profound transformation in the production of Spanish animation, with recent films in this genre achieving greater international visibility. In this context, the short film, which represents the most personal and flexible format in filmmaking, has become a valuable resource worth protecting, because it opens a window onto a different aesthetic from that of big international productions and offers a representative picture of Spanish animation in recent decades. This article seeks to identify the key concepts framing the animated short film made in Spain and to analyse the function of the short film before and after the turn of the century.
