K-shell X-ray production cross-sections and fluorescence yields in some medium-Z elements

摘要
K-alpha and K-beta X-ray production cross-sections for intermediate elements have been measured at an excitation energy of 59.54keV gamma-rays from a Am-241 filtered point source. In addition, measurement of K X-ray fluorescence yields for the lanthanides at the same excitation energy have also been carried out. The results obtained for K X-ray production cross-sections and fluorescence yields are discussed in the light of the other available experimental values, semiempirical fits and theoretical predictions.
