Large deflections of heated functionally graded clamped rectangular plates with varying rigidity in thickness direction

摘要
The governing equations for the large deflection of heated functionally graded elastic, rectangular plates with varying Young's modulus in thickness direction are derived by Berger and Karman approach. We assume that the functionally graded Young's modulus varies symmetrically with respect to the middle plane according to the nth power of the nondimensional thickness. For a clamped rectangular plate affected by an arbitrary symmetrical temperature and load distribution about midpoint of the plate and prevented from inplane motions on the boundary, the governing equations are solved by means of the Galerkin method. As a numerical example, the cases as seen in aerodynamic heating are analyzed. The influence of functionally graded Young's modulus and temperature change on the large deflection are shown in the graphs.
