摘要：
A series of styryl dyes: 2-substituted styryl benzimidazole and alpha-methyl-2-substituted styryl benzimidazole were synthesized under solvent-free microwave irradiation by the condensation of 2-methylbenzimidazole or 2-ethylbenzimidazole with aromatic aldehydes in the presence of Ac2O.
