Radiation hardness of some new liquid scintillators and of liquid-core scintillating fibers

摘要
The radiation hardnesses of some known and new liquid scintillators and capillary fibers filled with them were studied. The scintillation efficiency of a liquid scintillator based on 1-methylnaphtalene with R39 dye was found to fall by 30% at a dose of 190 Mrad. The radiation hardness of thin liquid-core scintillating fibers filled with this scintillator exceeds 60 Mrad.
