摘要：
Evolution of the polarization vector in an inhomogeneous isotropic medium is investigated using the quantum-mechanical formalism of coherent states. The relation between the fluctuations of Berry's phase of wave nature caused by the ''spin-orbit'' interaction of a photon and depolarization of an incident pure state of polarization is clarified.
