The Role of Information Assets in Electronic Government Systems

There currently exists an insufficient conceptualisation of Information-as-an-Asset domain that challenges the implementation of Information Asset Management in organisational practice. In the context of 21st century going digital, it is vital to embed effective Information Asset Management in a complex socio-technical system as Electronic Government in order to facilitate further developments. The given doctoral research using a multi-method approach addresses this problem by proposing a set of Information Asset Taxonomies integrated into a prototype conceptual model. The latter seeks to present an interoperable framework of Information Asset Management for diverse Electronic Government systems.
