摘要
A low-cost smaller unit-cell planar EBG structure operating at the lower GHz frequencies (below 6 GHz) is proposed. A numerical simulation model is developed to predict the reflection phase stopband of such structures. A highly directional dipole antenna placed on top of our proposed planar EBG structure with an overall height of 0.02, is demonstrated.
