摘要：
Synthesis of hexaoxa 5, octaoxa 6 and tetradiaza macrocycle 7 has been accomplished by reacting bisphenol 1 with tosylates 2, 3 and 4 respectively, under basic conditions. Dithia-bridged macrocycles 10 and 13 are prepared by reacting key-intermediates, ditosylate 9 and diiodo compound 12, respectively with Na2S.9H(2)O. Attempted metal ion complexation and two phase extraction with macrocycles 5, 6, 10 and 13 was unsuccessful probably due to insufficient ligating potential available with these macrocycles.
