摘要
In this paper, the capture effect is taken into the performance analysis of the IEEE 802.11 DCF in a wireless local area network. Different from the previous literatures that were based on the Rayleigh fading channels model, we consider the capture phenomenon with the more general Rician fading channels for the first time in order to present a performance analysis method which can provide a more realistic result. The paper integrates the capture effect into the saturate throughput analysis model by means of a simple but accurate method, and the analysis results show an improvement in the saturate throughput, especially for the basic medium access mechanism compared with that achieved without considering capture effect.
