Multisensor-based condition monitoring of CNC machine tools

摘要
Modem Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machine tool is a potential application of condition monitoring which is a research area of increasing importance. This paper proposes a multisensor-based condition monitoring scheme for CNC machine tools. It concentrates on some critical aspects in the design of a practical monitoring system, such as the choice of parameters, feature extraction and decisionmaking. The concrete methods and algorithms are presented in detail. The multisensor-based monitoring technique has been implemented in an existing condition monitoring system for a CNC machining center, and has achieved good results.
