摘要
Execution time expectation is a Useful method to evaluate the efficiency of selected computational resources for a given problem. It can assist us to judge the fitness of selected resources for a given problem, and can tell us whether a problem-solving method is Suitable for these grid computational resources. However, it is not easy to have a good computing time expectation in a realistic grid environment. In this Study. a fundamental grid system model and problem solving methodology have been established to analyze this issue. Several constraints for problem solving oil it proposed grid resource model have been developed for this purpose. Experiments on a grid system. the Taiwan UniGrid, were performed to verify the effectiveness of these measures. Performance comparison of computation-intensive and communication-intensive problems can provide some valuable practical experience oil the use of execution time expectation.
