Experimental studies of the reinforcement of rock joints by passive rock bolts

摘要：
We test the shear strength of a rock joint reinforced by a steel bar in small scale models (diameter of the bar : 4 mm). The contribution of the bar is evaluated with respect to the rock strength (limestone whith UCS from 15 to 225 MPa), to the bar orientation and to the diameter of the borehole. Three types of behaviour are observed, which differ by the shear/displacement curve.
