摘要
The Alice experiment which will be installed at the future Large Hadron Collider at CERN is especially designed to measure many different observables in heavy ion collisions at high energies. This contribution summarizes the design of the inner tracking system for the Alice experiment and some of the simulated properties. The Alice inner tracking system is a large (6 m(2)) system based on silicon sensors. The design is completed and production of the detection elements is starting. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V.
