Prediction of the volumetric properties for aqueous NaCl-KBr and NaCl-CaCl2 mixtures

摘要
The volumetric properties of aqueous mixed-electrolyte systems are of considerable practical and theoretical interest. Many predictive and correlative methods were proposed in the literature. A predictive method of Patwardhan and Kumar, valid over the entire concentration range encountered in practice, without any empirical constants, was tested against available experimental data for aqueous NaCl-KBr and NaCl-CaCl2 electrolyte solutions. The predictive accuracy of this method recommends it for most practical applications.
