Adiabatic mode conversion in waveguides with shallow corrugations

摘要
It is shown that waveguides with shallow smoothly nonuniform corrugations on the walls can ensure highly selective and wideband conversion of any waveguide modes. Mode conversion schemes with and without an intermediate (virtual) mode are considered. It is shown that, for the intermediate mode, one can use both codirectional and opposing waveguide modes.
